Where to find

Suriya is encountered at the Chain Post after the location has been discovered through World Map exploration. Speak with Neil Chainwise in the command hut to reach her recruitment interaction.

Profile

Suriya is 23 and formerly worked as a runner carrying supplies and messages between camps along the caravan routes. Someone she trusted sold her onto Neil’s transfer line after she refused to help conceal a crime.

At the Chain Post, she appears restrained and cooperative while quietly watching routines, supplies, and possible exits. Her experience on the routes gives her practical survival knowledge despite her limited combat training.

Gameplay role and status

• Implementation status: Implemented in the current build.
• Suriya can join the Vault as an early companion.
• Her strongest starting skills are Scavenging (35), Agility (33), Empathy (32), and Intelligence (31).
• She is not marked as combat capable and does not begin a player quest.
• Neil’s first visit can include an optional mature assessment; its details are only available in the age-gated game.
• Suriya remains available after a declined offer, and leaving her at the Chain Post does not affect Kyra’s storyline.

Recruitment requirements

Suriya costs 350 Credits and requires one free Vault cell. If either requirement is missing, Neil cannot complete the recruitment. A successful purchase adds Suriya to the Vault roster. Choosing not to buy her now does not lock the purchase for later.

Relationships

• Neil Chainwise controls Suriya’s recruitment at the Chain Post.
• Brask Lockjaw guards the yard and recognizes whether Suriya remains at the post or has joined the Vault.
