Overview

Lady Tar owns Bonetown's Velvet Room, buys select captives for a fixed price, and trains the player in Seduction and Bondage methods.

Where to find

Lady Tar operates the Velvet Room in Bonetown. Select the establishment from the Bonetown location screen, then use the option to speak with her.

Schedule and availability

The Velvet Room is a nighttime location. It opens at 19:00 and closes at 07:00. Attempting to enter during the day produces a closed-location message.

Gameplay function

Lady Tar currently has two gameplay functions: she buys eligible captives from the player’s Vault, and she can train the player’s Seduction and Bondage methods after the first meeting.

For purchases, she pays a fixed 3,000 Credits, regardless of the captive’s calculated market value, but only accepts candidates who pass every configured requirement. Treat the list below as the current requirement categories rather than a final balance table, because the v0.25 work also changes Agility, Combat, and training balance around the same systems.

RequirementCurrent public note
TraumaChecked; must stay within Lady Tar’s accepted condition range
RelationshipChecked; candidates who are too attached can fail
LibidoChecked; must meet her service-readiness floor
Hand PlayChecked; trainable service skill
Oral PleasureChecked; trainable service skill
Domestic WorkChecked; trainable support skill
Agilityv0.25 adds wider Agility implications, including combat dodge checks
Combatv0.25 adds Combat training and broader Combat progression support

Selecting a candidate does not complete the sale immediately. The game first checks the configured thresholds and reports failed requirements. A passing candidate is removed from the Vault and the 3,000 Credits are added to the player’s resources.

Lady Tar’s player training is separate from selling a captive. At the Velvet Room, she trains Seduction and Bondage for 100 Credits per lesson, advancing time by 120 minutes and raising the matching player stat by +5 up to her 70 cap. This uses the dialogue training path rather than the Vault’s accumulated-effort training system.

The v0.25 training changes also mean older preparation advice is incomplete. Combat Skill training has been added, Agility has in-game implications, and NPC training speed has been adjusted. For Lady Tar, the practical takeaway is that Velvet Room preparation should now be read alongside the broader Training Room, Agility, and Combat changes instead of as an isolated old sale checklist.

Lady Tar does not currently sell captives to the player. Her dialogue directs buyers toward Vex at the Auction Block instead.

Character and dialogue

Lady Tar is characterized as a refined but ruthless independent operator who pays protection to Baron Marcus Cross. Her background data describes her as a former training-house operator who built the Velvet Room into a private establishment and cultivated an information network through its clientele.

The current repeat conversation offers three subjects:

  • Discussing captives opens her purchase flow.
  • Asking for training opens her Seduction and Bondage lessons.
  • Asking for information ends in a refusal because the player lacks a trusted introduction.

Her character data is configured for information brokerage, assignments, and additional private services, but those broader systems are not exposed as functioning player services in her current dialogue.

Lady Tar is marked as a potential quest giver in character data, but her available quest list is empty and the current dialogue does not start a quest.
