Overview

New Eden is roughly three days’ travel from the Vault, a long haul that expects a caravan or vehicle and transit permits. It is central to the wider story and is planned as a major visitable location, with full districts and content, for the 1.0 release.

Districts or sub-locations

New Eden is organized by status and access. Established lore describes protected upper levels, controlled civic areas, markets, industrial filtration infrastructure, and lower residential zones. Final visitable district names and boundaries remain in development.

NPCs

  • Overseer Kane: New Eden’s central political authority.
  • New Eden Enforcers: The city’s official security and law-enforcement organization.
  • Resource Barons: Powerful figures whose influence depends on water, permits, and controlled trade.

Additional public NPC pages will be added as the city approaches playable release.

Services

  • Industrial water distribution
  • Licensed markets and controlled trade
  • Armored convoy travel
  • Civic records and transit permits
  • Medical and technical infrastructure

Quests

New Eden is tied to the game’s wider conflict over water, political control, and the player’s history. Its full quest set is planned for later development and is not yet available as a complete playable hub.

Shops

New Eden’s markets operate through licenses, status, and controlled access. Specific public shop pages will be added when their inventories and NPCs are finalized.

Dangers

  • Enforcers tightly control movement and permits.
  • Water access is tied to status and political authority.
  • Chemical runoff and Blue-Tox affect areas beyond the walls.
  • The three-day route from the Vault requires serious preparation.

Lore

New Eden presents itself as the region’s surviving center of order. Its high walls, filtration systems, terraced farming, and hydroponic towers create an appearance of abundance, but that stability depends on strict rationing and control of clean water.

Public screenshots of New Eden will be added as the location moves closer to playable release.
